The University of Toronto Wind Symphony and director Pratik Gandhi present their final concert of the 2022-23 season. Inspired by the resilience of people facing oppression, program includes Mark Camphouse’s A Movement for Rosa and Yasuhide Ito’s epic masterwork Gloriosa. The concert will also feature the world premiere of two works by our composers in residence — Homa Samiei’s interpretation of the western Iranian chant of grief, Mooyeh, and Stephen Morris’ transcendent tone poem, Beyond Stars — as well as a commissioned spoken-word piece by poet Hannah Flores.
