Rouge River Winds and music director Pratik Gandhi present music on the theme of excellence. Repertoire includes James Curnow’s tribute to the great Dr. Harry Begian, Nulli Secundus, as well as Evan Hammell’s Nerve and Verve and Frank Ticheli’s expansive Symphony No. 2. The concert will also feature Solo Competition first-place winner Isabel Misquitta-Yip, performing the first movement of Saint-Saens’ Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor in an arrangement for piano and symphonic band.
