The University of Toronto Wind Symphony and director Pratik Gandhi present a concert that celebrates the power of storytelling and the imagination. The program, presented as part of the UofT New Music Festival, includes Timothy Mahr’s Imagine, If You Will…, Kevin Day’s Galactic Voyage, and Julie Giroux’s masterful Symphony of Fables. Percussionist Hoi Tong Keung joins the Wind Symphony to perform the final movement of Christos Hatzis’ concerto Tongues of Fire, arranged for wind ensemble by Kevin Lau. This concert is also being livestreamed.
